The United States was prepared for a second wave of strikes against Venezuela, but Trump emphasized there was no need for it.

"We were ready for the second wave. Everything was ready, but the first wave was so powerful that there was no need for additional strikes. But we are ready. There is a fleet there that no one has ever seen," says the President.

Trump also stated that decisions are being made regarding Venezuela's political future and that the US is actively participating in this process.

"We cannot allow someone else to seize power and continue the legacy left by Maduro. We want to give people freedom," he added.

The President indicated that the US expects to be active in Venezuela's oil industry and that oil deliveries to China will continue.

"I have a good relationship with President Xi Jinping, there won't be a problem. They will get their oil," says Trump.

For reference, the US Attorney General announced that charges of "narco-terrorism," arms trafficking, and drug smuggling have been brought against Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores. Official Moscow is calling on the US to release them.

We remind you that on January 3, several explosions occurred in Caracas, a state of emergency was declared in the country, and Maduro mobilized the national forces.

Subsequently, Trump made a statement about strikes being carried out against Venezuela and the capture of Maduro along with his wife.
