On December 31, 2025, a 34-year-old pedestrian died in Tashkent city after being hit by a Lacetti.
According to information, around 21:00 in the Yashnabad district on Mahrumquli street, a 2005-born J.R., driving a Lacetti car, hit a 1991-born Y.N., a pedestrian who was crossing the road at an unmarked location. As a result of the accident, the pedestrian died at the scene from the bodily injuries sustained.
It is reported that regarding this incident, the Tashkent City DIA Investigation Department has initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are ongoing, according to the DIA Road Safety Department.
