At a time when tensions have intensified in Venezuela, the positions of its main traditional allies, Russia and China, are becoming increasingly cautious. The two countries, which have supported Caracas politically, financially, and partially militarily for years, are currently refraining from providing decisive practical assistance.
According to experts, this situation is linked to the sharp increase in US military activity in the Caribbean region. Moscow does not want to open a new front under the conditions of the war in Ukraine, while Beijing is trying to protect its economic interests without entering into direct confrontation with the US.
Thus, support for Venezuela remains at the level of statements, while in practice, Moscow and Beijing prefer to cautiously observe the situation.
