In 2025, 3,923 individuals were placed on the wanted list by the internal affairs bodies of Tashkent city and their territorial divisions, as well as by the prosecutor's office and judicial bodies, of whom 2,146 were apprehended. Materials for the search of 94 individuals were transferred to the relevant territorial divisions.
This was reported by the press service of the Capital Department of Internal Affairs.
The aforementioned individuals were placed on the wanted list on suspicion of committing crimes provided for in the following articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan:
• Article 168 (Fraud) - 1,084 individuals;
• Article 169 (Theft) - 293 individuals;
• Articles 273-276 (crimes related to illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs) - 143 individuals;
• Article 167 (Misappropriation or Embezzlement) - 83 individuals;
• Crimes related to terrorism and religious extremism - 20 individuals;
• Article 277 (Banditry) - 48 individuals;
• Article 166 (Robbery) - 38 individuals;
• Article 104 (Intentional Infliction of Grave Bodily Injury) - 18 individuals;
• Article 164 (Extortion) - 16 individuals;
• Article 165 (Hooliganism) - 14 individuals;
• Article 135 (Human Trafficking) - 7 individuals;
• Article 97 (Intentional Homicide) - 6 individuals;
• Article 118 (Rape) - 5 individuals;
• Other types of crimes - 443 individuals.
Furthermore, in cooperation with law enforcement agencies of CIS countries and other foreign states, 86 individuals on the wanted list who were hiding outside Uzbekistan were apprehended. Of these, 73 were apprehended in the territories of CIS countries, and 17 were apprehended in the territories of other countries. 67 individuals were extradited to Uzbekistan.
Additionally, 741 individuals who had absconded from an obligation, even though no official search was declared, were identified in a timely manner and brought before investigative and judicial bodies.
Moreover, 73 individuals who had committed crimes and had been on the wanted list for many years, hiding from investigative and judicial bodies, were apprehended.
