19 more ticket offices will be closed in the Tashkent metro.

From February 1, ticket offices at 19 metro stations in the capital will cease operation, and information kiosks issuing QR-chip cards will be installed in their place.

In order to further simplify the fare payment system of the Tashkent Metro, it will begin to gradually close ticket offices at the "Yangi Hayot", "Sergeli", "O'zgarish", "Choshtepa", "Milliy Bog'", "Mustaqillik Maydoni", "Amir Temur Xiyoboni", "Pushkin", "Do'stlik", "Aviasozlar", "Toshkent", "Oybek", "Kosmonavtov", "O'zbekiston", "G'afur G'ulom", "Chorsu", "Turkiston", "Shahriston", and "Bodomzor" stations.

For passengers, there are more than ten modern payment methods available, such as bank cards, transport cards, Face ID, PalmPay, and mobile applications. In the next stages, based on passenger feedback, it is planned to close ticket offices at the remaining stations as well.

Ticket office operators will be provided with employment in other sectors through free retraining courses.
