A woman nicknamed "Banu" was tried in Samarkand for forcing a 20-year-old girl into prostitution for money and organizing a brothel.

She was apprehended on September 4, 2025, while receiving 800,000 soums for a one-hour service.

The accused had already received a conditional sentence for the same crime in November 2024 but did not cease her criminal activity during the probation period.

The court found her guilty under Part 4, paragraph "b" of Article 131 of the Criminal Code and, taking into account the unserved sentence, sentenced her to a strict 3 years and 9 months of deprivation of liberty.

It was determined that the sentence is to be served in a general regime colony.
