On February 10, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov. During the talks, issues of further strengthening the relations of friendship, good neighborliness and comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan were discussed.

The Presidents noted with satisfaction that the pace of trade turnover is stable and industrial cooperation projects are being consistently implemented. It was also emphasized that joint work continues on major infrastructure projects such as the "China - Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan" railway and the construction of the Kambarata hydroelectric power station.

During the conversation, views were exchanged on topical issues of the regional agenda, and the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events was discussed.
