A company belonging to Donald Trump announced the construction of a 335-meter-tall Trump "International Hotel" and "Tower" in Australia's Gold Coast region. According to Eric Trump, this will be the company's first official project in the country.
The tower's height will even surpass that of London's "The Shard" building. The 91-story structure will house 285 hotel rooms and 272 luxury apartments, as well as restaurants, shops, and a beach club.
The "Altus Property Group" is participating as a project investor, and construction is scheduled to begin in August 2026.
Currently, the project is causing public debate due to conflicts of interest and competition with other major skyscrapers.
