According to the "Iraqi News Agency (INA)," Al-Sadr described Khamenei as a "scholar, ascetic, and leader loyal to the Islamic Revolution," and assessed his death as a great loss on the path of faith and resistance.
He cited a verse from the Quran, emphasizing that among the believers there are those who have remained true to their covenant with Allah, and expressed deep sorrow.
Earlier, Iranian state television had reported that Ali Khamenei was killed by Israel and the U.S. According to the "Tasnim" agency, he was killed in the morning of February 28th in his office.
In connection with the Ayatollah's death, a 40-day national mourning period and 7 days of rest have been declared in Iran.
Furthermore, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the start of the "most intense offensive operation" in the country's history. Subsequently, Iran announced the commencement of new offensives against Israel and the U.S.
