According to the Turkish Communications Directorate, the leaders exchanged views on bilateral relations. Erdogan emphasized that developing cooperation in all areas, including the defense industry, is beneficial for both countries.
He stated that the developments resulting from the attacks on Iran have negatively impacted the global situation, and noted that diplomatic efforts supported by Turkey and other countries have played an important role in stopping the escalation.
He emphasized that Ankara will continue to contribute to efforts aimed at ensuring stability. He also stated that it is important to initiate the second phase of the Gaza peace plan and that the positive momentum achieved should not be lost.
The leaders also discussed issues such as ensuring the freedom of navigation for ships in the Strait of Hormuz based on international law, the situation in Syria, supporting peace in the Caucasus, and resuming stable peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.
