Earlier, it was reported that President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree "On creating even more favorable economic and administrative conditions for the growth of small business entities." Head of the Presidential Administration Saida Mirziyoyeva highlighted the significance of this document.
Saida Mirziyoyeva stated that in recent days, news about easing conditions for small businesses has been warmly received by business circles.
She noted that this issue has long been a painful problem for entrepreneurs. During visits to the regions, entrepreneurs have pointed out that the threshold of 1 billion soums for transitioning to VAT payment is too low, tax administration is complex, and inspections and reports are excessive.
"As a result, businesses were forced to artificially split up instead of developing calmly," said Saida Mirziyoyeva.
It is noted that in accordance with the decree signed by the president, this threshold has been increased to 5 billion soums.
"Its effect will be felt, first of all, by family enterprises, cafes, shops, service providers — in short, thousands of people who drive our country's economy with their daily labor," she said.
The document also provides for a number of other important measures aimed at supporting small businesses.
