An employee of the administration of Sh. Rashidov district, Jizzakh region, was caught demanding 500 dollars from a businessman in exchange for providing 45 sotix of land and employing his acquaintance.
During pre-investigation checks, it was determined that he had previously taken 3.5 million soums for the same matter and spent them on personal needs.
In Fergana region, the head of one of the private commercial banks demanded 5 percent — 125 million soums from a citizen in exchange for allocating a 2.5 billion soum loan.
He was caught during an operational measure while receiving 10,000 US dollars.
Criminal cases have been initiated on both incidents, and investigative actions are being carried out.
