Illegal drug storage locations exposed in Fergana and Namangan
During operational measures conducted in cooperation with the State Security Service and Customs authorities, large quantities of illegal drugs were discovered in the Fergana and Namangan regions.
In the city of Fergana, a citizen born in 1987 was stopped while unloading drugs worth 778 million soums, brought in a Gazelle vehicle, into his home. Later, additional drugs worth 468 million soums were found at his residence.
In Namangan, two citizens were found to be storing illegally imported drugs from abroad for the purpose of sale. During the operational measures, more than 32,000 boxes of drugs with a total value exceeding 1 billion soums were confiscated.
Investigations are ongoing into both cases.
