President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev put forward an initiative to create a barrier-free unified digital trade space with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council held in Astana. The President's press service reported this.
The President proposed expanding cooperation in a number of areas, including digital data exchange in customs, phytosanitary and veterinary fields, mutual recognition of electronic documents, and the introduction of a digital transit system.
It was also proposed to develop joint programs on “smart” transport and customs corridors, industrial automation, robotics, energy and water-saving technologies.
Mirziyoyev also noted issues of establishing a joint project office in cooperation with the EAEU, creating benefits for high-tech investors, “green” transformation and industrial modernization through artificial intelligence.
In addition, proposals were made to develop a unified electronic platform for labor migration and the “Central Asian Tourist Ring” project.
