The establishment of a National Dendrology Park on an area of 108 hectares in Tashkent city is planned. This was announced in the project presented to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Within the framework of the project, 50 thousand trees and 100 thousand shrubs will be planted. The park will serve to improve air quality, improve the city's microclimate, and preserve biodiversity.
Within the park area, a "Trees of the World" collection, greenhouses, recreation areas, pedestrian and bicycle paths will be established. It is also planned to create a one-hectare artificial lake and a sakura garden in its center.
This area is expected to become a scientific and educational center and an ecotourism destination for the population.
