In the Navbakhor district of Navoi region, a case of drug-related offense was detected thanks to the vigilance of a preventive inspector.
According to the Information Service of the regional Department of Internal Affairs reported, a preventive inspector, Captain Bakhriddin Yuldoshev, who was on duty in the territory of the "Uzbekistan" mahalla, paid attention to a suspicious person wandering aimlessly.
The inspector, who knows the residents of the mahalla well, tried to talk to this citizen. However, the person who was in a state of intoxication did not comply with the lawful demands of the internal affairs officer and attempted to flee the scene.
After that, an operational-investigative group of the Navbakhor district Department of Internal Affairs was involved, and the citizen's identity was established. When he was searched, a narcotic substance resembling marijuana, wrapped in paper and weighing approximately 7 grams, was found.
During the operational measures, the person's residence was also examined. It turned out that he had secretly been cultivating the poisonous plant in his backyard.
Law enforcement agencies have put an end to this illegal activity.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against this citizen under Part 1 of Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan concerning this incident. Investigative actions are ongoing.
