Spain national team head coach Luis de la Fuente announced that Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams and Victor Munoz will return to the squad before the first match of the World Cup. Al Jazeera reported this here.
The three players recovering from injuries will miss the friendly match against Peru, but are expected to play in the match against Cape Verde on June 15.
“If there are no unexpected problems, all of them will be ready for the game,” said de la Fuente.
Spain, as the winner of Euro 2024, comes to the World Cup as one of the main favorites.
According to team forward Yeremy Pino, the status of favorite is not an additional pressure for the Spaniards, but a source of pride.
