During operational measures conducted in Tashkent and Samarkand regions, large quantities of narcotic substances were confiscated. This was reported by the State Security Service.

It is noted that in a joint operational measure by employees of the State Security Service and the Customs Committee in the city of Bekabad, Tashkent region, a person born in 1992 was apprehended. He is suspected of committing crimes stipulated in Article 246 (smuggling) and Article 273 of the Criminal Code, and had been on the wanted list since 2025.

During a search of his rented apartment within the operational measure, 151 grams of opium were found in a refrigerator in the kitchen, and 4 kilograms 971 grams of hashish were found in the toilet shaft.

According to preliminary data, these narcotic substances were smuggled in from a neighboring country. A pre-trial detention measure has been applied to the suspect.

Furthermore, in a joint operational measure conducted by the Samarkand regional department of the State Security Service, Border Troops, and internal affairs officers in Urgut district, two citizens born in 2003 were apprehended.

It was reported that they were caught red-handed while selling 932 grams of hashish and 2.5 grams of opium to a conditional buyer for 10,000 US dollars.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident. A pre-trial detention measure has been applied to the suspects, and investigative actions are ongoing.
