Within the framework of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Chief Executive Officer of the US company "Air Products," Eduardo Menezes.
During the meeting, issues of further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with the company, which is actively investing in the construction of high-tech industrial enterprises in the country, were discussed.
For reference, "Air Products" is considered one of the world leaders in the production and supply of industrial gases. The company's market capitalization exceeds 60 billion dollars. It produces 200 million tons of industrial gas annually in more than 50 countries and manages nearly 750 production facilities.
Currently, the total volume of the company's investments in the economy of Uzbekistan exceeds 1 billion dollars. In particular, projects have been implemented for the processing of industrial gases at the "GTL Uzbekistan" plant, hydrogen production at the Fergana Oil Refinery, and liquid carbon dioxide production at the "Navoiyazot" joint-stock company. Additionally, educational programs have been launched in the cities of Tashkent and Karshi.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to accelerate the implementation of promising projects involving the company and to coordinate cooperation in this regard based on a "roadmap."
