The match between the national teams of Uzbekistan and Colombia, which took place in the group stage of the FIFA World Cup, has ended. In a fiercely contested match, the South Americans won 2-1.
From the very first minutes of the match, the Colombian national team took the initiative. Although the Uzbek players acted orderly in defense, the opponent managed to open the scoring midway through the first half. After that, Temur Kapadze's charges continued to seek opportunities in counterattacks, but the score remained unchanged until the break.


Before the second half, two changes were made to the lineup of the Uzbekistan national team. Dustonbek Khamdamov replaced Oston Urunov, and Farrukh Sayfiev came on for Sherzod Nasrullaev.
After the break, the Uzbek players displayed a much more active game, which yielded results. The national team equalized the score, bringing intrigue back to the match. However, soon after, Colombia once again found the back of Uzbekistan's net and took the lead.


During the match, several more changes were observed in the lineup of the Uzbekistan national team. In particular, in the 76th minute of the match, Azizbek Amonov and Jahongir Urozov replaced Abbosbek Fayzullaev and Rustamjon Ashurmatov.

Although 8 minutes of added time were given at the end of regular time, Uzbekistan could not equalize the score. Thus, the national team ended its first match at the World Cup with a defeat.


Nevertheless, the Uzbek players earned the recognition of the fans for the courage and fighting spirit they displayed in their debut match of the tournament.
