According to the press service of the Uzbekistan Football Association, this match will be officiated by Moroccan FIFA referee Jalal Jayed. He will be assisted by his compatriots — Zakaria Brinsi and Mustapha Akarkad.
The fourth and fifth officials for the match are representatives of the Republic of South Africa, Abongile Tom and Zakhele Siwela.
It is worth recalling that Jalal Jayed also officiated the first-round match between the national teams of Germany and Curaçao during this World Cup. In that match, the "German machine" defeated its opponent with a resounding score of 7:1.
The second-round group stage match between Portugal and Uzbekistan will take place on June 23. The match will kick off at 22:00 Tashkent time.
