According to him, during his time studying at the football academy, he used to stitch old boots and restore them to a usable condition.
"I would stitch the children's boots. I stitched very well. The kids would pay money. We thought it would be a little help for ourselves and our families. We would collect old leather items and make patches from them. We even stitched to the point where we could make one boot out of two or three boots," says the footballer.
According to Shukurov, he also repaired footballs. The coaches of each group at the academy would bring worn-out balls to him.
"If I repaired ten balls, one ball would be left for me. My room at the academy would be filled with balls and boots. We never shied away from hard work," he says.
The footballer shared these memories in an interview with the "Medialab" agency.
