Engineers who demanded bribes in Fergana and Jizzakh were caught.

Criminal cases have been initiated against the engineers regarding both incidents. Currently, investigative actions are being carried out.

Corrupt actions by engineers of electricity supply enterprises in Fergana region and Jizzakh region have been stopped. This was reported by the State Security Service.

It is noted that an engineer of the Fergana district electricity supply enterprise demanded 100 million soums in exchange for pulling an electrical network, installing an electric meter, and connecting it to the grid for a citizen's workshop producing construction materials, as well as for processing permitting documents through his influential acquaintances.

During an operational operation conducted by the Fergana regional department of the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, this previously convicted engineer was caught red-handed while receiving the requested amount.

Also, an engineer of the electricity supply enterprise in Sharof Rashidov district, Jizzakh region, demanded 50 million soums, promising to cancel the existing 122 million soum debt of a local farm for electricity usage through his influential acquaintances.

It became known that he had previously received 10 million soums and was detained during an operational operation by the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes while receiving the remaining 40 million soums.
