Employees of the State Security Service, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Customs Committee, conducted several operational measures aimed at combating the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs and potent substances. This was reported by the press service of the SSS.
It was noted that at the traffic police post in the Kashkadarya region, a car of the "Cobalt" model traveling on the "Karshi – Tashkent" route was stopped and inspected. During the inspection, a handbag belonging to a citizen born in 1966, a resident of the Buloqboshi district of the Andijan region, who was traveling as a passenger in the car, was examined.
During the inspection conducted in the presence of witnesses, the bag was found to contain a narcotic drug "hashish" consisting of 5 pieces wrapped in yellow tape, with a total weight of 5 kilograms 32 grams, which was documented and seized as material evidence.
In another case, a person born in 1974, a resident of the Gijduvon district of the Bukhara region, was exposed for growing 33 cannabis plants in the backyard of his home. Additionally, 7 kilograms 79 grams of marijuana were also seized from this address.
A similar case was also recorded in the Fergana region. In particular, a car of the "Lacetti" model traveling on the "Andijan – Kokand" route was stopped and inspected in the territory of the Baghdad district.
During the inspection, inside bags belonging to citizens born in 2001 and 1982, residents of the city of Kokand, who were traveling as passengers in the car, 1,200 units of the potent drug "Tropicamide" were found.
It was reported that at the same time, a person born in 1986 in a car of the "Spark" model traveling in sequence with them was also apprehended. During the operational measures, two more citizens — born in 1998 and 1980, involved in this crime — were detained, and a total of 345 units of "Tropicamide" and 15 units of "Regapen" drugs were seized from them.
During the pre-investigation check, it was established that these persons were engaged in importing potent drugs from Kyrgyzstan through roundabout routes and selling them.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated regarding these incidents, and investigative actions are being carried out. The SSS has called on citizens to contact the agency's short number 1520 if they encounter situations related to the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs and potent substances. It was stated that the confidentiality of personal data is guaranteed.
