The Customs Committee continues to consistently take measures against the illegal import of products that pose a threat to human health into the territory of the republic.
In particular, a Lacetti brand car arriving in the country through the Malik customs checkpoint, under the control of a citizen, was subjected to customs control in accordance with the established procedure.
During the inspection, three types of "coffee" products, hidden among the cargo and packaged in 8 and 10 gram packets, aroused the suspicion of customs officers. It was established that the driver attempted to pass through customs 2258 units of a biologically active supplement for 200 US dollars.
According to the expert opinion of the Central Customs Laboratory, the presence of "Sibutramine" in the composition of these products was confirmed. Even a half-gram amount of this substance entails criminal liability in Uzbekistan.
