Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir in Islamabad. The meeting focused on restarting stalled negotiations between the United States and Iran.

According to a statement from the Iranian embassy, the meeting was also attended by Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, National Security Advisor, and intelligence chief Lieutenant General Asim Malik.

The sides exchanged views on potential second-round negotiations between Washington and Tehran. According to Pakistani sources, the meeting is being assessed as preparation for diplomatic processes that may take place in the coming days.

The first round of negotiations was held in Islamabad two weeks ago, but no agreement was reached. This process began following a temporary peace agreement announced on April 8, mediated by Pakistan.
