It is noted that this project is aimed at introducing modern urban planning standards in the city and creating comfortable living conditions for the population. The residential area is designed for 25,000 residents, and will include 84 multi-story buildings, educational institutions, kindergartens, a higher education institution, shopping and business centers, as well as recreational areas.
A total of 1 trillion 850 billion soums has been allocated for the project. To date, the first phase has been completed, and 56 ten-story buildings comprising 4,394 apartments have been put into use.
The finished apartments are being offered to the population with a 35 percent down payment, an annual interest rate of 16 percent, and a term of 20 years.
During the visit, the head of state familiarized himself with the conditions of the new apartments and emphasized the social significance of the project. Additionally, a dialogue was held with veterans, and a presentation on the development of the city of Kokand was reviewed.
