A cadastre inspector who took a bribe in the city of Tashkent, as well as a person who attempted to illegally sell a state reserve land plot in the Andijan region, have been detained. This was reported by the State Security Service.
It is noted that based on an appeal received by the "Call-center" of the State Security Service, an operational measure was conducted in cooperation with the Tashkent City Department of the SSS and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes.
During the operation, the chief inspector of the Yashnobod district branch of the Cadastre Agency was caught red-handed receiving 2,000 US dollars through a third party.
According to the pre-investigation materials, the chief inspector, using his official position, demanded this amount in exchange for not demolishing illegally installed lightweight structures owned by a local resident and not imposing a fine on him.
Another incident was recorded in the Andijan region. A citizen born in 1984, residing in the city of Andijan, told a buyer that he had supposedly won a 40-arce land plot located in the Hakon industrial area of the Andijan district, which was in the state reserve, through "E-auction". He promised to register the said land in the buyer's name through his acquaintances in the cadastre system, demanding 160,000 US dollars in return.
During an operational measure conducted in cooperation with the State Security Service, Internal Affairs bodies, and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, he was detained while receiving an advance payment of 80,000 US dollars.
