President Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself on July 4 with the large-scale construction work carried out in the "Uzgarish" neighborhood in the Sergeli district of Tashkent and the activities of trade and service facilities organized under the overground metro line.

During the visit, the head of state was informed about the modern infrastructure built for residents in the neighborhood, 45 multi-story buildings, 1,620 apartments, and conditions created for over 6,700 residents. Ten children's playgrounds, a mini-football field, and health-improvement areas have been established here.

Additionally, the President familiarized himself with the activities of a modern cogeneration center. This facility ensures the stability of electricity and heat supply during the winter season and has the capacity to produce 18.4 million kWh of electricity and 80 thousand gigacalories of heat energy per year. Within the framework of the project, the infrastructure was renovated and new jobs were created.

Mirziyoyev also familiarized himself with the trade and service establishments on a 5.7-hectare area reorganized under the overground metro line. Here, 137 business entities operate, 250 jobs have been created, and 4 kilometers of pedestrian and bicycle paths, children's playgrounds, and recreation areas have been built.

As the President noted, these changes are the result of consistent reforms aimed at creating a comfortable environment for the population and turning the neighborhood into a modern, prosperous place.
