A person suspected of stealing 880 million soums from an office located in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent city has been apprehended. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the report, after the theft was reported, operational-search measures were carried out, and the suspect was identified and detained. During the investigation, he stated that he had hidden the stolen money in a Foton truck parked near his residence. The funds were seized as material evidence.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 169 (theft) of the Criminal Code regarding this incident. A remand in custody has been applied to the suspect. Investigative actions are ongoing.
