A 52-year-old woman has been detained in the Andijan region for seeking a hitman to kill her ex-husband. This was reported by the regional Department of Internal Affairs.
According to reports, during investigations based on operational information, it was established that a woman living in Asaka district, born in 1974, had planned the premeditated murder of her ex-husband, born in 1972, due to a dispute over housing issues.
To carry out the act, the woman sought a hitman for $3,000 USD. Law enforcement agencies conducted an operation, involving a person who was conditionally hired.
According to investigation data, on July 10, the woman met individuals, with whom she had agreed to carry out the murder, in front of one of the residential complexes in Asaka district. She initially gave 5 million soums to kill her ex-husband and stated that she would pay the remaining amount after confirming his death.
During an operational operation conducted on the night of July 11, the conditional hitman took the woman's ex-husband to a field area in Asaka district and, simulating his murder, called the female client.
After the woman confirmed the death of her ex-husband, she indicated that she would give the agreed-upon money. At that moment, she was apprehended with material evidence.
"We agreed to give the hitman $3,000 to get rid of my husband. I gave him 5 million soums. I regret what I did. I ask for your forgiveness," the woman said.
Regarding this incident, a criminal case has been initiated against the woman under Article 25, Article 97, Part 2, Clause "i" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
