In the Fergana region, five young men who beat a citizen, threatened him by disseminating images related to his personal life, and demanded money have been detained. This was reported by the regional Internal Affairs Department.
According to preliminary information, the suspects, residents of Fergana city, took a citizen living in Kuva district to a quarry in the Beshbola neighborhood of the city.
There, they inflicted bodily harm on the victim and recorded footage of his private life using a phone. Then, threatening to send these images to his relatives, they demanded 8 million soums.
Law enforcement officers apprehended the suspects while they were receiving 2 million soums from the victim.
Currently, documents regarding the incident are being formalized, and pre-investigation checks are underway.
