President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced that the main criterion for evaluating the activities of government agencies will be effectiveness. According to the head of state, increasing the responsibility of ministries and departments before the population and objectively assessing their activities will be a constant focus.
“From now on, the principle of working ‘for results’ rather than ‘for process’ will become the main criterion in the activities of agencies,” the president said.
It is noted that the “Quality Public Administration” program is a reform aimed at shaping a new management culture and a modern worldview.
The program envisages objectively assessing the activities of government agencies, identifying their strengths and weaknesses, promoting best practices, and supporting a healthy competitive environment.
In January–April of this year, within the framework of the program, the management quality of government agencies and the leadership capacity of senior personnel were assessed with the participation of international experts and local specialists.
