In Andijan region, several officials who promised to illegally formalize land plots were detained.
It became known that the head of the 3rd hydro-section of the 2nd-Shahrikhon branch of the Fergana Valley Main Canal Use Administration demanded $40,500 from a citizen who wanted to engage in livestock farming, in exchange for leasing 30 sotiks of land in the protection zone of the Big Fergana Canal. When he received $3,000 out of $20,000 he was detained by officers of the DXX and the Department.
During operational measures, another responsible employee of the administration was found to be involved in this situation, and he was also detained when he received part of the money.
Also, the hydro-section employee who had been using this land was found to have demanded $19,000 to give the land.
Another case was recorded in Oltinkol district. There, the director of an educational institution demanded $15,000 in exchange for confirming a contract in favor of a driving school. He was detained when he received $10,000 in advance.
Criminal cases have been initiated regarding both situations, and investigative actions are being carried out.
