In Afghanistan, a new dry port has been launched on the "Hayratan — Mazar-i-Sharif" railway line. This line is managed by a joint venture of "Uzbekistan Railways".
According to reports, the new logistics terminal received its first freight train and unloading operations have begun.
The parties discussed increasing the capacity of the railway line, as well as the construction of an additional 1,650-meter branch at Naibabad station.
The project is expected to increase cargo transportation volume, reduce wagon idle time, and improve overall efficiency.
The Afghan side gave instructions to the relevant agencies for the swift implementation of the projects and expressed readiness to increase cargo transportation volume.
