Javokhir Sindorov won $42,500 in prize money at the tournament held in Bucharest
Uzbek grandmaster Javokhir Sindorov performed well at the Super Chess Classic Romania tournament, held in the Romanian capital Bucharest from May 14 to 23, and took third place.
He finished the competition with 5 points, entered the top three, and was awarded a prize of $42,500.
In the tournament, American Wesley So also scored 5 points and received the same prize money.
According to the final results, German Vincent Keymer took first place with 6 points, while American Fabiano Caruana came second with 5.5 points.
Javokhir Sindorov, meanwhile, secured a place among the winners alongside strong opponents.
