Measures have been taken against a driver who was driving a Tesla car at a speed of 214 km/h on the streets of Tashkent. This was reported by the deputy head of the Information and Multimedia Center of the capital's Department of Internal Affairs.
The video of the incident spread widely on social networks and sparked discussions. Users noted that such behavior poses a serious danger to the lives of other road participants and demanded that action be taken against the driver.
It was reported that the driver was summoned by officers of the capital's Traffic Safety Department's search unit.
"I am the owner of a Tesla car. The fact that I was driving at high speed spread on social networks. I was called in on that matter. I do not recommend anyone to drive at such high speeds. Drive slowly, be careful. I regret what I did," said the driver.
It was stated that appropriate measures were taken against him, but the specific punishment applied was not clarified.
