It has been reported that two individuals, born in 2001 and 2002, residents of Samarkand city, who were previously under surveillance, were caught while transporting 5 kg 160 grams of opium smuggled from a neighboring country.
The operational measure was carried out in cooperation with employees of the State Security Service and the Customs Committee.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against these individuals, and a pre-trial detention measure of "arrest" has been applied by court decision. Investigative actions are ongoing.
