Uzbekistan's Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Won Do Yeon on July 26, according to "Dunyo" news agency.

According to the information from the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade (MIIT) telegram channel, the current state of trade-economic and investment cooperation and measures for its further expansion were discussed during the meeting.

Agreements were reached on mutual measures to increase the volume of trade exchange and to establish partnership relations between the business entities of the two countries. Also, efforts will be intensified to identify and promptly eliminate problems and factors hindering the development of bilateral trade relations.

The parties welcomed the opening of the South Korean Gyeonggi-do Province's representative office in Tashkent. This will help strengthen interregional cooperation by taking advantage of incentives and preferences created for supporting investment activities in Uzbekistan.

Prospects for deepening cooperation with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Economic Development and Cooperation Fund (EDFC) were separately discussed.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties affirmed their readiness to expand partnership relations and developed a format for practical cooperation within the framework of the tasks discussed.
