For the 2024/2025 academic year, 186,871 applicants have been recommended for admission to undergraduate programs of higher education institutions. This was announced at a briefing held at the Public Affairs Agency on August 19 as reported.
According to Zohid Shakarov, advisor to the director of the Agency for Assessment of Knowledge and Skills, the average passing score this year was 121.7 for state grants, and 94.7 for tuition-based contracts.
Out of the 186,871 applicants, 41,153 have been accepted on state grants, and 145,718 on tuition-based contracts.
The distribution by forms of education is as follows:
For full-time education:
- on state grants — 39,903 applicants;
- on tuition-based contracts — 84,132 applicants;
For part-time education:
- on state grants (privileged) -1,046 applicants;
- on tuition-based contracts — 48,555 applicants;
For evening education:
- on state grants (privileged) — 153 applicants;
- on tuition-based contracts — 8,455 applicants;
For distance education:
- on state grants (privileged) — 51 applicants;
- on tuition-based contracts — 4,576 applicants;
Among those recommended for admission, 14,230 were accepted within the framework of privileged admission parameters; moreover, 120,845 are this year's graduates.
"Applicants can change their choices until the selection period ends. The final selection results regarding the recommendation or non-recommendation of applicants for admission will be announced within a week after the completion of the selection process," said the agency representative.
