How many days will Uzbekistanis have off in observance of Independence Day?

On the occasion of the holiday, Uzbeks will have a 4-day consecutive rest.

According to the President's decree, in connection with Independence Day, Uzbek citizens will have a four-day continuous  break.

In detail:

  • August 31, Saturday — an additional day off for those working six days, and a regular day off for those working five days;
  • September 1, Sunday — Independence Day;
  • September 2, Monday — a day off for everyone (according to Article 208 of the Labor Code, if a holiday falls on a Sunday, the day off is moved to Monday);
  • September 3, Tuesday — an additional day off for everyone.
