"Regarding the amendment and addition to the regulation on the procedure for selecting candidates for military service under contract in the armed forces of the Ministry of Defense" was adopted.

The document clarifies the categories of individuals eligible to participate in the military service selection process. These include individuals from 18 to 30 years of age with secondary, vocational, or higher education, former "contractors," as well as reserve officers up to the age of 40.

In this case, a male candidate must have served (or be serving) mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan, or have served in the draft reserve, or have completed military training courses at institutions of higher education, and must also be listed in the military register.

Furthermore, some privileged conditions for entering the service are being changed. Previously, there was a simplified procedure for enlisting in military service under contract for winners of republican and international sports competitions: they only needed to undergo a medical examination. This privilege was valid for 5 years from the time of winning the competition. Now, this period has been reduced to 3 years.
