The Central Bank provided information on mortgage loans allocated to the population during the first nine months of 2024 here.

It is noted that during the months of January—June, mortgage loans in the amount of 11.72 trillion UZS were allocated to the population of Uzbekistan. In the republic, a total of 42,790 citizens have taken interest-bearing loans from banks, with 27.1 thousand (63%) being males, and 15.6 thousand (37%) females.

65% of the mortgage loans were allocated for houses in the primary market, and 35% for houses in the secondary market. 65% of the interest-bearing loans were taken by people aged 31–50 years, 27% by those aged 18–30 years, and 8% by individuals older than 50 years.

From January–September, under the “New Order” program, 23.7 thousand citizens of the country were allocated mortgage loans in the amount of 6.07 trillion UZS.

The largest amount of credits was provided to the population of Tashkent city — 3,536.9 billion UZS. The following places are occupied by:

  • Samarkand region (1019.2 billion UZS);
  • Fergana region (1011.4 billion UZS);
  • Andijan region (834.7 billion UZS);
  • Navoi region (748.8 billion UZS);
  • Tashkent region (648.7 billion UZS).
  • According to the Central Bank, during the first nine months of 2024, commercial banks have allocated 11.7 trillion UZS in mortgage loans to the population. This figure was 16.9 trillion UZS in 2023, 14.4 trillion UZS in 2022, 9.8 trillion UZS in 2021, and 9.1 trillion UZS in 2020.
