The Cabinet of Ministers' decision No. 652 of October 9, 2024, on the “Approval of the Rules for the Use of Distribution Electrical Networks” was adopted.
The rules approved by this decision are aimed at creating equal conditions for all participants through rational and transparent use of distribution electrical networks, ensuring safe and reliable operation and development of the distribution system, ensuring the reliability and stability of the electricity supply to end consumers, preventing outages, ensuring the quality of electricity, and regulating relationships in the supply of electricity that meets consumer demands.
The rules set the regulations for connecting to the network, necessary conditions and procedures for system regulation, relationships related to the integration of small-scale renewable energy sources into the distribution system, and criteria for ensuring system reliability in emergency situations.
Furthermore, it establishes general requirements for implementing new technologies and innovations to create smart grids and modern infrastructure in the system.
This decision will come into force three months after its official publication.
