The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis is considering the draft law "On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2025" in its first reading. This was reported by the press service of the lower chamber.
The concept of the draft law is being presented by the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy and Finance, Jamshid Kuchkarov.
It is emphasized that the draft law on the State Budget for 2025 allocates sufficient funds to fulfill all social obligations of the state to its citizens, including timely payment of salaries, pensions, and benefits, as well as an increase not less than the rate of inflation.
The project maintains the social orientation of the State budget expenditures to establish an education, healthcare, and social protection system that fully meets the demands of the population and international standards.
In particular, a total of 20 trillion sums is being allocated to reduce poverty. Measures aimed at enhancing the targeted nature and efficiency of social protection expenditures are reflected in the project.
As noted, the real growth rate of the gross domestic product in the economy of Uzbekistan next year is expected to be 6 percent compared to 2024, with a per capita income of 3251 dollars. In addition, growth rates are forecasted to be 6.1 percent in industry, 4.1 percent in agriculture, 14.5 percent in market services, and 14.2 percent in construction. The inflation rate is expected to be 7 percent.
