In Bangkok due to severe air pollution, the city authorities ordered the closure of 352 schools in 31 districts. zamon.uz reported this.

 One day before, more than 250 schools across the city had stopped their activities. The total number of schools in Bangkok is 437.

 A red alert hazardous to health was announced in 48 out of the city's 50 districts. The public is advised to avoid using personal transport and to work remotely as much as possible.

 Air pollution in Thailand is said to be a seasonal event, occurring when cold and stagnant winter air mixes with smoke from burning crop residues and automobile gases

 Switzerland's IQAir research company's latest data indicates, Bangkok is ranked fourth in the world in terms of air pollution.
