A medical plane with six people on board crashed shortly after takeoff in Philadelphia. The powerful explosion engulfed several houses in flames. This was reported on the X social network here.

"We cannot confirm the survival of anyone. We grieve for the patient's family, our staff, their families, and any other victims who may have been injured on the ground," - says the statement from Jet Rescue Air Ambulance.

It appears that as a result of the accident, one person died and another 19 were injured.

This plane crash occurred just two days after the most deadly aviation disaster in the US in the last decades.

Footage from a Philadelphia doorbell camera showing the plane crashing near a shopping center and the transit area and then exploding has gone viral.

"We just heard a loud scream and didn't know where it was coming from. We then turned around and saw a huge trail," - said homeowner Jim Quinn.

The crash occurred less than four kilometers from the Northeast Philadelphia Airport, which primarily serves business jets and charter flights.

The Learjet 55 took off from the airport at 18:06, climbed to an altitude of 1600 feet (487 meters) and then immediately disappeared from the radars.

It was en route to Springfield, Missouri, and according to the flight tracking site Flight Aware, it was registered with Med Jets. According to some reports, there was a Mexican girl on board who was returning home with her mother after receiving treatment in the USA.

President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social social network that watching the disaster was "very saddening."

"More innocent lives were lost," - Trump said.
