In recent times, certain fraudulent individuals have been deceiving citizens of Uzbekistan by offering high-paying jobs in Turkey (mostly through acquaintances), increasing the incidents of deception. The Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Istanbul city reports and issues a warning about this.

It is reported that these individuals are placing our compatriots in difficult situations by making false promises about employment, housing, and legal documentation.

"If you start an illegal employment activity or are deceived by fraudsters, you may face the following problems:

The salary paid is much less than promised, or not paid at all

Working conditions are harsh or poor

Illegal exploitation and abuse by the employer

Deportation and fines as a result of illegal employment in Turkey

After arriving in Turkey, the situation where the intermediary disappears after promising to pick you up at the airport and taking your money

In the cases mentioned above, it becomes very difficult to hold the fraudsters accountable since there are no official documents between our compatriots and the individuals offering the jobs.

Foreign citizens are required to have a special permit to work in Turkey.

To look for work, only apply to the Agency for External Labor Migration of the Republic of Uzbekistan (www.migration.uz) or to officially licensed agencies!

Do not come to Turkey illegally and do not give money to unreliable individuals!

Demand official documents regarding working conditions, permits, and salaries!

"Protect yourself and your loved ones from fraudsters! Only seek employment through official channels!" - the report says.
