During the rapid actions conducted locally by the State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, cases of illegal arrangements for the "Hajj" and "Umra" pilgrimages were exposed. The State Security Service reported this.
In particular, in a case recorded in Namangan region, a person born in 1969 from Balikchi district, Andijan region, gained the trust of a local citizen and, through one of the travel agencies in Namangan city, took 20,000 US dollars for arranging the parents of the citizen for "Hajj" pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia for this season and was caught red-handed with material evidence.
In another case, a person born in 1981 working in a tourist firm in Namangan city demanded 15,000 US dollars to send two citizens to Saudi Arabia for the "Hajj" pilgrimage of this season through this firm, and having received an advance of 10,000 US dollars, was caught with material evidence.
In an incident observed in Khorezm region, a person born in 1974 living in Gurlan district received 3,450 US dollars for sending three citizens from Ellikkala district, Republic of Karakalpakstan, to "Umra" pilgrimage through a tourist firm in Tashkent city that did not have the proper license, at which point his illegal activities were halted.
In a rapid action conducted in Fergana city, a person born in 1981 from Tashlak district was caught while having received 2,400 US dollars for sending two citizens from Qushtepa district on "Umra" pilgrimage, despite not having the authority to organize the "Umra" pilgrimage, and doing so by arranging visas.
In a case recorded in Kuva district, a person born in 1980, through his profile on the "Telegram" messenger, claimed to have a company that deals with sending people to "Umra" pilgrimage, and demanded 3,100 US dollars for sending two citizens on pilgrimage with "Umra" visas, having received an advance of 1,800 US dollars, was caught.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated and investigative actions are being taken against the individuals involved in all cases.
