Today, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Minister of Hajj and Umrah Affairs, Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiah, led a delegation in discussions with the Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sodiq Toshboev, the Head of the Muslim Administration of Uzbekistan, mufti Sheikh Nuriddin Khaliknazar, and other relevant officials. The committee reported this event.
The Minister of Hajj and Umrah Affairs, Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiah, stated that one of the purposes of the visit was to improve the quality of organizing Hajj and Umrah events, and to strengthen connections in the fields of religious education, scientific research, tourism, and transport.
At the meeting, it was acknowledged that the quota for our compatriots to perform Hajj has been tripled in recent years, allowing 15,000 of our fellow citizens to have the fortune of performing Hajj annually, and the number of Umrah pilgrims amounts to several hundred thousand. The respect, conditions, and care for them are continuously improving.
Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiah expressed his intention to thoroughly review and positively resolve the proposals made by the Uzbek side, utilizing all available means.
