At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif will be officially visiting our country on February 25-26. This was reported by the Presidential press service.
The upcoming high-level negotiations agenda includes issues of further development and expansion of Uzbekistan-Pakistan strategic partnership and multilateral cooperation relations.
Joint plans in terms of increasing the volume of trade, strengthening transport connectivity and unleashing transit potential, promoting cooperation projects in light and leather industries, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, and other sectors of the economy will be in focus.
Issues of enhancing cultural-humanitarian and tourism relations will also be reviewed. A exchange of views on topical issues of international and regional significance will take place.
At the end of the summit, the adoption of a Joint Declaration and a number of bilateral documents is planned.
Within the framework of the business program of the visit, leaders will also participate in the Uzbekistan-Pakistan joint business forum.
